For Moms Touched by a Child's Addiction

Letting Go of Guilt

A Day to Find Lasting Peace

| 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM | on Zoom | $99

If you are a mom who has loved a child through addiction, you know guilt intimately.

It whispers that you should have seen the signs sooner. That you were too strict, or not strict enough. That if you had just said the right thing, done the right thing, been the right kind of mother — things would be different.

You replay conversations at 2am. You second-guess decisions you made years ago. You carry a weight that never fully lifts — even on the good days.

And somewhere inside, you wonder: Will I ever stop feeling this way?

The answer is yes. And this day was created to show you how.

WHAT THIS DAY IS:

Letting Go of Guilt is a full-day virtual healing experience designed specifically for moms like you. Not a lecture. Not a therapy session. A real, honest, compassionate day of doing the work — together.

Through The Empowered Love Method, you will move through a carefully structured journey that meets you exactly where you are and gently guides you somewhere freer.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE:

  • Welcome & Opening Circle — We begin by creating a safe, nurturing container. You will set your intentions for the day and be welcomed into a community of moms who truly understand.

  • Understanding Guilt — We explore the stories you have been telling yourself and where your guilt really comes from. Spoiler: it's not true.

  • Inquiry Sessions — Using a proven method of gentle self-inquiry, we look honestly and compassionately at the thoughts that have been keeping you stuck. This is where the real letting go begins so that you can have the breakthroughs that change everything.

  • Somatic Movement — Guilt does not just live in the mind. We use gentle, accessible movement to release what your body has been holding and reset your nervous system.

  • Forgiveness and Amends — A structured, compassionate process for offering forgiveness to yourself and others — not because everything is okay, but because you deserve to be free.

  • Self-Compassion Practice & Closing Ritual — We close the day with loving-kindness, integration journaling, and a meaningful ceremony to honor how far you have come.

You are welcome to step away whenever you need. The space holds you as you take care of you.

THIS DAY IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You have been carrying guilt about your child's addiction for months or years

  • You replay conversations and decisions wondering what you could have done differently

  • You love your child deeply but cannot seem to forgive yourself

  • You are exhausted from punishing yourself for something that was never entirely in your hands

  • You are ready — even if you are scared — to finally set some of this down

Meet Your Guide

For over 20 years as a Licensed Therapist specializing in Family Recovery, Joanne Richards has helped hundreds of people go from just surviving their loved one's addiction to becoming the safe, peaceful, supportive family member their loved one needs — and the one they want to be.

Because she has walked this journey too, Joanne knows how exhausting it can be. How families replay every conversation, worry as their loved one slowly slips away, and feel guilty that they got angry or think they did something wrong.

Through The Empowered Love Method, Joanne helps families relieve the many fears that are part of this journey, restore connection, communicate to inspire new thinking and change, and bring calm to the chaos.

She has sat with hundreds of moms in this exact pain — and she knows the way through so that you can save time, energy and save the relationship with your child so that there's a better chance they may save their own.

Have questions?

How do I know it will work for me?

The methods shared are based on scientific research specifically designed for mindfulness based stress reduction and to calm the nervous system.  They're easy and have worked for thousands of people, why not you?

Joanne helps people tap into their inner wisdom so that they find what is true and right for them in their unique circumstances. You don't need someone telling you what to do when your mind and heart join to know what to do.

Will "Letting Go of Guilt" be recorded?

Yes, Letting Go of Guilt will be recorded.  The recording will be available for 3 days after the workshop.

How is coaching different from therapy?

There are many paths to healing, and any that feel right for you are important. Go for it.  Coaching and therapy are compatible and compliment each other.  Coaching is designed to identify changes to make in the present and how to move forward to realize those changes.  Coaching doesn't diagnose or analyze. It includes asking powerful questions to guide you to your answers. It is a partnership, co-creating opportunities for you to be inspired, find your inner motivation, and be empowered to create solutions and action plans. Coaching also includes acknowledging all parts of you with acceptance and moving forward, maximizing your strengths, wisdom, and resources.

How will this help my loved one?

You are made up of energy.  If your energy is overwhelmed by stress and fear, it impacts your body, mind, and spirit and then that is what gets projected into the world. Fear has an energy, it makes things harder.  Love has an energy that is much higher, it makes things calmer and kinder.  Calming your body, mind, and spirit and then being guided by that more peaceful state of being is love. Love is your super power and Love Wins Here!

You have carried this long enough. One day. One decision. One step toward the peace you deserve.
